Federico Nicoletta
In his reading of the Schumann Concerto, Federico Nicoletta […] brought out a rich sonority, a balanced sense of pacing and a delicate care in the working out of the Andantino grazioso. A rounded tone, energetic phrasing, a capacity for song, lyrical impetus and a solid technique.

That virtuosity […] can take off like lightning towards shivering spheres, metabolising every formula and dissolving it into pure tension towards the sublime. A hyperbolic path, open to few — among whom Nicoletta appears to belong, for the soundness of his instrumental foundation and for the charge of enthusiasm and determination with which he takes on the challenge […].
