Jun Lin Wu

Chinese pianist Junlin Wu, born in 1997, has established himself internationally thanks to his solid training and numerous successes in prestigious piano competitions. In 2023, he achieved one of the most significant milestones of his career by winning first prize at the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli International Piano Competition in Brescia, along with the special prize for the best performance of a Mazurka by Fryderyk Chopin.

Junlin had successes to get one place to study in Royal college of Music in Professor Dmitri Alexeev’s studio with 7 years full scholarship from Mr. & Mrs Bowermans and the Steinway’s.

He also got the second prize of the Beethoven sonata piano competition and the first prize of the Chappell medal in the Royal college of Music during his second and third year. During the summer in 2018, Junlin had achieved the first prize of the “In Musica” Roma International piano competition in Italy.

At the end of the year, he got the first prize of the Jaques Samuel Piano competition in London and has successfully made the debut recital in Wigmore Hall as an award in March 2019 and made the first album by the concert recording.

In the summer of 2022, he got the second prize and the Scriabin special prize and the audience prize in both the Scriabin piano competition and the Lyon piano competition.

After getting graduated in the Royal College of Music as an Artist Diploma, Junlin has been signed up for a place in the Zhejiang Music Conservatory in China as a teacher in the piano faculty and become announced as the “Representative Artist”. In November 2022, Junlin has got the semi-final prize and the Chopin special prize in the 12th Paderewski piano competition in Bydgoszcz, Poland and semi-final prize and the Best Australian pieces prize for the 2023 Sydney International piano competition.

Junlin has made lots of recitals and chamber music concerts in UK, Spain, Italy, France, Poland and so on during his studying career since 2015. He is a well-known pianist from the Royal College of Music and also in the Europe music Society.

In 2025, his album dedicated to Chopin and Scriabin will be released under the Da Vinci Classics label.
