The Chinese pianist returns to a city that has seen him rise: in 2023 he won first prize there at the first edition of the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Competition, along with the special “Antonio Marengoni” prize for the best performance of a Chopin mazurka. Brescian audiences have met him twice since, in recital in 2024 and as a soloist with orchestra in 2025. This time he faces one of the summits of the keyboard literature: Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations.

Jun Lin Wu is represented in Italy and Europe by Mimesis Artist Management.

An international path

Born in China and trained at the Royal College of Music in London with Dmitri Alexeev, he made his Wigmore Hall debut in 2019, after winning first prize at the “Jaques Samuel” Competition in London. He has also been a prizewinner at the “In Musica” Competition in Rome, the “Scriabin” competitions in Grosseto and Lyon, the “Paderewski” Competition in Bydgoszcz and the Sydney International Piano Competition.

He now teaches piano at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in China, where he also holds the role of Representative Artist. For more than ten years he has performed in recital, with orchestra and in chamber ensembles across China and Europe.

Coming soon

His new album devoted to Chopin and Scriabin is about to be released by Da Vinci Classics.
