The first of two new episodes of “Musica con Vista” aired last night at 8:00 PM on Sky Arte, the documentary series that for three years has been telling the story of Italy through the perspective and music of young string quartets. The protagonist of the episode dedicated to Trento is the Thumós Quartet, which accompanied the cameras on a journey through the city’s most evocative locations: from the Duomo to the Buonconsiglio Castle, passing through MUSE, to the timeless atmosphere of Castel Thun, among the mountains of Val di Non.
The documentary dedicated to Trento stems from a much broader project: it was filmed during the 2024 edition of the Musica con Vista Festival, organized by the Fondazione Filarmonica di Trento, and had already been presented in preview on May 7th in the Foundation’s Concert Hall, in the presence of the Trento audience.
“Musica con Vista” is a project commissioned by Comitato AMUR and Le Dimore del Quartetto, produced by 3D Produzioni for Sky Arte, directed by Francesca Priori and narrated by Marco Magnifico. Since 2024, the series presents two new thirty-minute episodes each year that interweave musical performances and interviews to showcase cities, concert institutions and young ensembles. The first edition featured the Goldberg Quartet in Padua and the Rilke Quartet in Palermo, while this year, alongside the Thumós Quartet, the Genova Quartet in Naples is featured.
For the Thumós Quartet, this represents a further important step in their artistic growth and visibility: a television story that combines the quality of musical interpretation with the beauty of Italy’s artistic and landscape heritage, bringing the quartet’s name to the screens of one of the country’s leading cultural channels.
